Grodd is the fourth villain that is shown to be aware of the Flash's secret identity following Reverse-Flash, General Eiling, and Captain Cold. Grodd was brought to the refuge through a breach which Team Flash opened on Earth-1. The original character was created by John Broome and Carmine Infantino and first appeared in The Flash 106. Some time on Earth-2, a refuge was created for gorillas who underwent lab experiments to roam freely.
